By ordering a commission from me, user Cottean ("The Artist, I, My, Me"), you ("The Client, You, Your") affirm to have read and agree to be legally bound by the following Terms of Service listed below. Failure to abide by the Terms of Service may result in a rejected / cancelled commission with or without a refund, and / or a blacklist / public service announcement.
Please note that these Terms of Service may be subject to change without prior notice.

This section outlines how to prepare for a commission and what info is required from The Client. ​
Reference Sheets

References provided must be crystal clear, in full color, and show the design in a full-body format. The Artist will not accept references pieced together by multiple images, ‘frankensteined’ image boards describing one design, unfinished refs, and outdated references.

You, The Client, are expected to submit references that are up-to-date and meet the criteria above; any errors made due to an incorrect ref will not be corrected by The Artist during the commission without a fee.
Payment

Payment is accepted in USD via the following methods: Kofi, Paypal, Square, Venmo; Alternative currency is not accepted.

Do not send payment until your commission inquiry has been confirmed by The Artist.

Holds are not available - Forms must be sent within 48hrs of claiming a slot.

​All payments must be sent within 24hrs of a commission being accepted.
Unacceptable Themes

The Artist reserves the right to deny drawing certain themes, such examples are: Explicit Gore, Explicit Nudity, NSFW, Shota / Lolicon / Cub, Fetish Material, Hate-Speech

These themes may be expanded upon in the future should the need arise.
Alterations

Illustration & custom design changes may be subject to additional fees at my own discretion.

Mistakes made on my part may be changed for free depending on the circumstances, however changes to pose, form, etc. require an additional fee.

Please look over work in progress images sent carefully and ask for all desired changes within the same message before giving The Artist permission to proceed; frequent change requests may result in additional payment being requested or your commission being cancelled with a partial refund.

All character designs and commissioned illustrations made by Cottean ( Arlie Keaton ) come as 'personal-use only' non-commercial materials. I, The Artist, claim all of my work as my Intellectual Property and do not give permission for any of my works to be copied, sold, redistributed, edited / altered, blatantly referenced, or used without my written permission.

All work and material made by Cottean may not be used in any blockchain-related technology, to include NFTs, cryptocurrency, or future inventions in the space.

My work may not be used in any AI related technology or future inventions in that space.

The Artist's Rights
- I reserve the right to decline any work if I find it outside of my ability to complete to the highest standard.
- I retain copyright to the commissioned artwork unless discussed otherwise and copyright is transferred.
- I reserve the right to use, publish, livestream and record the commissioned artwork / process to share and promote on Kofi / Discord and other social media unless discussed otherwise.
- If commissioned for fanart of an existing series or franchise, I reserve the right to sell the artwork at any given point, such as prints or in art books (transfer of rights not applicable to fanart).
Payment Plans
- Payment plans are available for commissions totalling $300 or more. Please inquire with me beforehand.
- All payment plans require a 30%, non-refundable deposit before I start. Progress will not continue past the sketch phase unless a 2nd payment has been deposited or the commission has been paid in full.
- Timeframe will be discussed beforehand between The Artist and The Client. The commission must be paid in full within the timeframe of the commission's turnaround time.
- Amount per desposit must be discussed beforehand and may not be sent unless The Artist has given permission to send. Sending unspecified amounts without warning may result in your commission being cancelled.
